I have an 03 Cavalier LS Sport, and the middle "D" bushings on the front sway bar are shot. I went to the Chevy dealer, and they wanted $13 each for the stock rubber replacements. Does anyone make a urethane replacement that fits inside the metal bracket? I've seen some at Autozone, but they don't look like they will fit in the stock bracket.
Thanks.
I get my stuff from Napa, they have urethane replacements. A kit for both sides is like $20 IIRC.
I went to NAPA, and they only offer 18 & 22mm replacements. I believe the stock one for the FE2 setup is 24mm. Any other ideas?
Yeah, you LS boys are up there at 24mm.
Try to get part numbers and order from gmpartsdirect I think,
Meantime, I need to et my arse to Napa for some Urathane replacements.
Where the ones from Napa from Energy suspensions?

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
I don't know where Napa gets it stuff, it's all rebranded.
Didn't realize you had an 03. Strange they don't carry the 24mm.
I forgot the LS Sport guys had 24mm front sway bars. Now there something to look into, oh sorry, started to talk to myself. Yeah NAPA would've been my suggestion too but you could try some GOOGLE/YAHOO searches and see what you find. Might find something but then again, you might not.
I ended up finding some at Murray's. They are urethane replacements, made by TRW. I installed them and replaced my endlinks, but I'm still getting a clicking noise from the front end when I turn hard or go over large bumps. Any ideas?
did you replace the metal bracket as well?
also might check your bearing plates

The metal brackets looked good, so I did not replace them. What would I be looking for on my bearing plates to know if they are bad?
Bearing plate, aka strut mount, ususally makes more of a clunking noise if they're bad. Clicking sounds more like maybe a control arm bushing...
Go to Pepboys or autozone, you can find Energy suspension sets for the average of $15.99 to 17.99. Well worth it.
