I have noticed lately some new "noises" from my car, the first being my front suspension clunking like at slower speeds, or while turning. Does anyone know what causes this? Also lately I have noticed only when turning from one direction to another (like backing out of a parking space) I hear almost like a grinding noise coming from my actual steering wheel. Other than that it steers find and the problem only happens occasionsly, anyone know what causes either of these two problems cuz im looking to get them fixed before my warranty is up on my car.
Thanks
Same problem: Strut Mount Bearing is shot. <$20 worth of parts, but a whole crapload of labor. If you do it the hard way, don't take the strut-to-knuckle bolts loose, you won't need an alignment when it's done.
anything else cause this?
The clunking noise could be control arm bushings totally shot. I'd be suprised if it was that.
The steering linkage could need a good greasing too, could explain the grinding noise.
Having both of these problems at the same time, unlikely.
