Alright, well i have come across a great deal for gettin a 05 LS Sport rearended.. only 12000 miles on it.. My plan would be to buy it and after seeing my suspension it scares me.. The rust is annoying..and old.. i was planning on gettin the 05 and swapping front and rear(if rear not damaged) suspension.. my question is.. i know to do a 2.2 Eco swap you have to swap one of the axles.. if i swap both axles will this affect anything with the 2.4 engine? I'd like to keep the 2.4 engine.. I was going to powder coat or use undercoating on all the new parts that i could and replace all bushing with polyurethane bushings also. Just curious on the axles.. the suspension is the same

other than being FE0 , FE1 , or FE2

the front sub frame changed in 03 , and wont fit the 2.2 ohv motors as there is a brace that is there where their exhaust has to run


axles are the same from 95-05 , but you have to have the same style trans , 3 spd to 3spd , 4spd to 4spd , or 5spd to 5spd

yeah its a 4sp auto just like mine.. so i wont have any probs with swapping it with the 2.4?

You should be able to swap it right out. It will be tons of work, and keep your fingers crossed you remeber where all the electrical connections go. The axles are the same for each tranny. Even then the only part that differs is the middle rod, the CV ends are the same.
