a while back i was in a car accident, i was on teh highway and spun out due to the wet road slid sideways threw grass and hit a tree, ripped my front bumper off, since than ive had a lil problem wiht my alignment, so i went down to get my alignment done, and they said they cant do it cause i need new lower control arms, bushings, ball joints, the whole 9 yards, they quoted me a price of 659 dollars well i looked at my car, and my control arms look fine, i mean what could possibly be wrong with them? there not broken, so i was thinking, is this a common problem wiht just the bushings, and if so hard job to do i saw a post about it but all the pics were Xed out maybe if somone could give me a lilhelp. bushins are 11 bucks each at a local store anyone have suggestions??

the control arms may not be broken, but they could be bent, which could totally throw your alignment off. go see if you can find some at a junkard in a J-body. just make sure the car you pull them off of doesn't have any front-end damage.

That price is WAY HIGH. You could do that all yourself (not the alignment, but replaceing the parts) for less than $100.
It should take a mechanic about an hour to replace them, so about $70 for that. And the alignment should be around $50 (or less). I'd say you're looking at $220 to have a shop fix it.
