heres the deal.got a 2004 cavi i have rk sport coilovers on gr-2s right now. i know alot of people say not to use them but my cousin has a 2000 and has been riding the same setup for better than 3 years and no problems, handles like a dream. so heres my dilemma. i am going to get new gr-2's. do i need kyb strut mounts for the front or whats the mcpherson strut insert bolt? i dont know if i need the kyb mounts or will the factory ones work fine.

Stock and any after-market will work. Your cousin's struts are definately blown, there's no question. That setup may last weeks, but not months, and certainly not years.
