I want to buy some but the member I'm buying them from says they wont fit the RK design, the mounts are 95-99.
Thats right, keep on killing innocent people and @!#$ everything up for others..YOU ARE TEH WIN
What are you talking about??
Rk no longer makes the Pro Streets, well I shouldn't say that, they are under production for a new design.
Looking in your registry doesn't help anyone because WE DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU DRIVE!
If you have a 2000 or newer you'll need a pair of 95-99 strut mounts (which you seem to mention yet lack to finish the statement).
I have the Prostreets and I love them. I would opt for the Gravana coilovers though because on them you can adjust the damping. www.gravanatuning.com
Hope that helps a bit.
P.S. - FILL OUT YOUR REGISTRY!!!!!!!
And WELCOME to the wonderful site of Jbodies
Yeah. Registry and whole sentences would help.
Yeah, I have the prostreets already
I drive an 03 j, I know I need the 95-99 mounts
He says they wont fit the Prostreet because they have a Tapered spring in the front and I guess the held mounts are made for a 2.5" diameter spring. I know nothing about the mounts so I cant be sure...I just wonder who makes a 2.5" diameter spring?, Maybe G/C or the gravana coils?

OK, well i'm not in the best state of mind right now...so bear with me....thanks
When I got my coils installed they started making a loud pop noise when I would turn the wheel. I asked if they installed the correct strut mounts and they said they had done it...A few months pass and I am getting a little PO'ed about this pop noise. I take it into the shop and they fabricate a piece that went on top of the spring (like a rubber bushing) between the spring and the mount.
If this is what 'he' is saying about it not fitting, then don't fret. It can be fixed. These coilovers are great.
Good luck....and again FILL OUT THE REGISTY!!

I dont think you understand what I'm saying. I have had the prostreets on my car for like 2 years now and my strut mounts are bad, I had the problem with the strut mount bearings when I put mine on also. So I was shopping for some new mounts and came accross the held mounts and he says that they will only fit a 2.5" tapered spring, But I dont see how that could be considering I dont know anyone who makes that small of a spring, diameter wise

SlowCavillac: You need to work on your communication skills. You've had us all totally confused up until that last post. I've never seen any mounts for our cars that are made for a 2.5" spring. Either it's not made for that size spring, or it not made for our car IMHO.
OK, Time for me to chime in. Held solid strut mounts are made for coilovers using a 2.5" ID spring ( IE GC, Weapon-R, Mantapart, Ebay ). RK ProStreet coilovers use a stock strut mount, so their springs are tappered from 2.5" at the base to the spring and open up to whatever the diameter of the stock mount is. To use the Held mounts you would have to change the front spring to a straight 2.5" spring ( the same that is in the rear )
I am not trying to be difficult, just trying to sell something that you CAN use with your setup

Ah...thank you got boost for clearing everything up.
And Mandy, please, we do not know what you had / have on your car as you never stated. This is where filling out your registry comes in. It is helpful when you have a problem and we need to see what your driving and what mods you have done to it.
