I cannot seem to get the HALFSHAFS all the way back into place.

Any Suggestions?

1) spell it right: halfshafts.

2) do you have it already connected to your suspension?

3) have you tried adjustment of the ring?

4) have you tried a rubber mallet.?

Yeah... "HALFSHAFTS"

Yes, I have them in almost all the way but not sure if I should force it in.

So Far I have only used my hands to push them in from the base.

I am a bit concerned about using a mallet.

You should only have to give it a good hard push with your hands. If it stay in then it's clipped properly. I've never had any problems just pushing them on. Did you grease the spline just a little bit? Rubber mallet is perfectly acceptable, you'll have a hard time ruining anything in your tranny with that.

Hey Thanks for the advice! I'll pull them back out and spray some WD40 on those suckers and see if that helps.

I didn't say oil. I said grease. Oil is a bad idea. Grease is a good idea.
Anyone who works on their own car should have a tube of good grease sitting around.

check the half of the halfshaft that you pulled out and see if the lock ring came out or if it is still in the halfshaft hole.
