On a 1990 Ford Tempo.. I had a problem with the front passenger brake sticking.. to the point where the pads wore down after about 2 weeks of driving, So I replaced the caliper.. and pads, just to have the same thing happen. Today, I just replaced the master cylinder and caliper again... (the piston was shot) Everyting has been bled properly.. and I am still getting a sticky brake. I pulled the caliper back off and re-checked everything.. and it was fine. With the front raised up, and the car in drive, the wheen will not spin, but if I pull the caliper off, the wheel will spin fine. The only thing I can think of is a block in the brake line itself, however it bled just fine, and I have followed the line and did not see any crimps. Is there some way I can test this before spending any more money.. or could it be something else?
It won't spin in drive, since you're trying to turn the engine over by hand. You need to put it in nuetral.
Does the car have ABS?
Next time you take the line off the caliper, take it off the MC as well, and blow air from the caliper end to the MC end. If it flows that way, theres no plug.
I'm sory, I didn't specify.. I tried it with the car in neutral.. and in drive while it was lifted. The car does not have ABS. I also read about the possibility of the rubber brake hose being so old it was being eaten away from the inside out.. causing particles to cause blockage.. so I'm gonna oick up a set of brake hoses, and while I have the old ones off I will disconect from the MC and try running air up through the line. Thanks for the help.

The hose lining failing is what I was talking about. The liner will "flap" away and create a one way check valve. If air (light PSI, not 120) flows through it towards the MC, its probably not the hose.
You were right.. I ran LP air up the line and it did not go through, so I replaces the hose.. on both sides, and the brake works perfectly.. after putting a new rotor on that had gotten warped from all the heat build up. Bottom line.. everything works perfectly. Thanks for the help!
