Anyone else have this problem?
This is making my car severley lopsided, and although I can adjust for it with my coilovers, the difference it would take to make it level is almost 2 inches (wheel gap is 2" on front right, .5" on front left). It's been this way for a while, but I had always hoped getting coilovers would remedy it since I assumed my shocks were just bad. I had never really taken the time to notice that my entire suspension had actually SHIFTED to te left.
I'm sure this didnt just magically happen, and is likely related to an accident I had oh about FOUR years ago. lol
Thing is I've seen a couple other cavs like this, so I figured the best place to find out what others did about it would be the org.
Any insight is appreciated.

How hard was it hit and where?
T-boned on the right front side by another cav at approximately 25mph. Strange part is that I've seen a few others with the exact same issue. Theres got to be some common factor. I've searched around for it before but never found anything conclusive.
What I've been able to find about the left side being lower than the right were things like the auto tranny being so heavy that it brings down the front left, and that the driver being too heavy makes the springs naturally sag after extended use.
Since I have brand new Tein SS coilovers (set exactly to reccomended spec) I've pretty much crossed out the one about sagging. The auto tranny makes sense, but I dont think it could cause this kind of difference.
Overall though it still doesnt explain the suspension of the car being completely shifted to the left. I'll have to get ahold of a digicam and take some more descriptive pics.

I have the Koni Sport Kit, and I have the same problem, but not as severe. My front passenger side has .25" more wheel gap than the other 3 corners. I haven't been able to figure it out. I searched and found someone with the same problem with the Sport Kit, but I guess they never figured it out either.
The only conclusion I could come to is that when the Sport Kit was designed, it was tested with a manual Cav/Sunfire, and maybe the automatic transmission weighs more.
I know the autos are slightly heaver on the driver's side, but it's only a hundred pounds or something like that. It will make a slight difference, but like Scream said, it's usually quite small.
my old 02 cavalier used to do that too. I had coilovers so i ended up getting fed up with the one inch difference in wheel gap from side to side so i just lowered once side a inch more than the other. Worked fine for the year i had it like that.
