about strut tower braces

I have browsed this forum for awhile to get info about a 2002 pontiac sunfire I picked up awhile back, and although I have gotten some great info from the topics here, I do have a specific question as it applies to strut tower braces.
Currently the car has the 2200 engine in it, and I bought a strut tower brace for the front that doesn't seem to fit ( it hits the ECU and won't bolt down). Now I am just starting to mod this car and the suspension and brakes are my first area of priority. I am installing the Koni/Ground controls with some Eibach sway bars and I want to do the strut tower at the same time, but I do plan on doing an Ecotec swap as soon as I come across a good deal on one at the same time I have available cash. So my question is: Are there any front strut tower bars that fit a 2200 as well as an Eco (preferrably the 2.2 Eco)? The one I got was from RSM I believe and it's not listed as fitting an Eco.

They all "fit". If you have the 2200 you may need to "relocate" the ecu. Most people bolt it somewhere else or bend the bracket. There are a few bars that don't hit it, but I would just bend or move.

I just fixed my computer bracket yesterday to accomodate a bar that would not otherwise fit. Here's a pic---(explanation after pic):

All i did here was make a relief cut to enable the bracket to bend down out of the way a little easier. This was the only way I could come up with that kept the computer in the stock location. I did not want to have to remount it somewhere else. I still need to clean up the edges on the grinder and eventually repaint the bracket, but for now it works.

There's a new designed carbon fiber strut bar going around on ebay now it should work out for ya.
