The upper enging mount would do about the same good as the control arm bushings; together they'd be better yet.
Took the shop I use around 5 hours I believe. Most of the time was getting their asses kicked by the old bushings.
chuck norris outran a cavalier. he just stood still.

I had one that went bad once, the rubber sepearted from the outside metal. That metal ring was a total beaotch to get out.
I cancelled the order of the bushings, I didn't expect that much time for installation. I will order the new Tubo Tech Racing upper engine mount instead and see if It get rid of the wheel hop.
thanks for the replies

^that kind of sounds like lack of effort on your part if your not willing to take time to install pieces. sounds like laziness... but thats my .02 cents.
It's not a question of time it's a question of $$ as I am not a mecanic. If I knew how to do it and had the proper tools and the time needed you can be sure that I would do it myself. I spent over 1000$ over the last month and I need to slow down a little. You should not judge people when you don't know them.

Im not sure if getting the upper mount will help at all. It might make it worse.
After i put on the motor and transmission mounts i had horrible wheel hop. Every single time the tires would spin. From what ive heard and read on here, the control arm bushings are supposed to help alot with wheel hop. I have a set waiting to go on when i swap in my koni sport kit. What i am gonna do is get a set of control arms from the junkyard and swap in the bushings that way if i run into a problem i wont have my car in pieces. that might save you a few bucks if you give them the parts to swap.
Hope this helps

I am not sure we are talking about the same thing since it is normal that the wheels spin when shifting and mostly when adding power to your car. What I don't want is that the wheels jump when launching and shifting and produce a sort of lag.
It's a good idea to install the new bushings in a used control arm, I didn't think about this option.

Im pretty sure we are thinking of the same thing.... and yes i quoted myself
It is probably more pronouced for me since I have stock suspension. When I drop it, the tires will spin but will jump like crazy and vibrate the hell out of my car. Also when shifting into 2nd. Even worse when its wet outside
As far as the control arms go, If you decide to go that route, even if you cant get the old bushings out or get the new ones in, you can take them to a shop and have them do it fairly cheap.

It wont. You wont feel the slightest difference with an upper engine mount
not judging at all... and you put these in with basic tools... and im no where near a mechanic status...
