yeah i have no clue why...
its coming from the passenger side but can't tell if its from the front or rear yet..
i had the front brakes done early winter.. and the rears adjusted... the rears still had plenty of pad left.
any ideas what this could be?
thanks
Performance or Ceramic pads?
I have an 05 Cavy. My brakes squeal as well but only when I lit off the brake pedal not during braking. I think its related to a rusty spring inside the rear drums. Tell me if this is the same problem you guys are having.
they are stock replacements pads.. just your run of the mill plain jane pads.
i have semi-metalic pads and slotted rotors ready to go on... looks like it time to do the change.
i found out what it was the "scraper" on the passenger front that was making the noise. my buddy folded a piece of paper and slid it under the scraper on the driver side pad and it passed through.. on the passenger side it didn't pass at all.... my buddy explained to me why it wouldn't make a noise during braking... basicly the pad is pretty much worn but not at the point of replacement.
so i pulled the scraper back just a little bit so i don't have to hear it when i drive and i'm going to replace the pads and rotors next weekend when i put rims back on and paint my calipers.
Problem and Solution found, what buddies are for.
I got a similar issue on 03 z24 but the squeek / poping also stops when turning right at lost speeds.... parking lots .... or pressing the brake like in your case.
New rotors, and pads are 1/2 worn which still should be good.
Any ideas ?
This was a squeaking problem, not a popping problem.
