Sorry gotta show this off lol.
Went to the junkyard yesterday and ended up finding a few verts with the strut bars.. the first 2 i found were warped or outta shape from their wreck.. This one was the best one i found so i stopped looking.. they sold it to me for 10 bucks and i went to Auto zone and bought some primer and paint. Sanded it down and then primered it and then painted it black.. They really had no clue what it was, i asked how much for it and they were " Uh... what is it?" so i told them it was a Strut tower brace and they said how about 10. couldnt pass that up. I already have had a rear one installed but took out when i had to put some stuff in the back. I dunno the brand on it, i bought it off a fellow JBO member, but looks like a ebay one but still works. this week i plan to install em both once it stops freakin raining. With just the rear installed i felt alot more stiffness in the car. The rear seemed to actually follow the car through turns instead of swaying out away. So i cant wait to feel the minor improvement these will provide.. Just some pics, excited, kinda glad this is the only kind thatll fit with my ram air hood cuz if any one woulda fit i woulda bought a more expensive one.. lol
yeah thats the GM bar. good deal.

shoot if you can pick up another one let me know, i tried 6 differnt junk yard here and no one had a wrekced convertible cavalier =(
i just got the 1 with the 2 mounting point on the firewall
gotta love junk yards
the front takes about 5 minutes to put on , about 10-15 minutes for the firewall point
so get-r-done , lol
youll notice a nice difference in the front with it
I put it on.. but didnt do the 1 mount to the firewall.. when i took it off i made sure to get the bolt and nut off that too.. I love them both.. cant explain the difference.. its not a huge difference but for the improvement im so glad i did these.. As for finding another one.. i dunno.. like i said the first 2 i found had been warped and bent.. im sure they have anotehr few but i dont plan on going there for a while.. its a 40min drive both ways so its not sumthing i wanna do all the time.
97cavie - when i bolt this to the firewall will i feel any difference in it? Is it worth the hassle? Still might do it but if its not worth it to much i might wait on it. and yes installed both front and rear bars and test driving only took 30min total.. majority of it was test driving..
Here are pics of em installed btw..
Dont mind the intake.. cheapo off Ebay.. i got a AEM one sitting here i need to install still.. then the one currently installed is going to my buddies 94 grand am with the 2.3 LO to chop up for his car's intake.. Hate the blue coupler lol.. luckily the AEM one has a black one and the AEM finish just looks better..
Sorry if photobucket ownz.
Kindof a stupid question, will a front strut tower off a vert mount on a rear? I am not assuming the bolts will line up but I figured I could just drill them.

i think the bolt in the firewall is worth doing , i did it on my 97 , and loved it
my 00 i havent put the 2 bolt 1 on yet
chris , it would prob take to much work to be worth it
yea the front wont fit the rear without extensive work, just buy a rear bar.. they are like 30-40 bucks
I have one of the convertible bars that i dont need if anyone is looking for one. it mounts to the firewall in 2 places though.

How much you asking for it? Also, how does it mount to the firewall?
