Anyone wanna weigh in on these pads? Pros/Cons....... noise, dust, pad life, stopping bite........ I need to pick up some new pads, and have heard good things about both, just never for our cars.
I'm looking for a pad that wont tear up my rotors, but will be good for some spirited driving (auto x and some road course)
I'll bust out myself....

I've heard good things about Hawk pads and mixed things about EBC pads, so my vote would be for the Hawk's.
Not really relevent but if you ever smell the fresh new pads, or smell your hands after handling them, Hawks have a lite oil smell and EBC Green smells like dead fish.
Ive had them both, and i perfer hawk.
I have the EBC YellowStuff pads and I LOVE THEM! Not one of your choices but if you plan on heating the pads up more than daily use (extended track days, high speed 1/4 mile runs, etc) I'd get the Yellows.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

I have the Hawk Pads and BAER Decela rotors... i can tell a BIG difference over stock rotors and ceramic pads. Especally with the heavy 18"s i have.
I've noticed that my Hawk pads make alot of dust, tons more than my oem pads ever did. But I think that may have something to do with the BAER rotors I have. Other than that, they work really well.
i have the ebc green stuff pads and i like them
SIG coming to an org near you!!!
I have HAWK HPS on my car before and they are great pads but i suggest you to get HAWK HPS they last longer and less dusty also expensive pads $ 93 dollar CDN dollar

You know I've noticed that too.... but i haven't even put 100 miles of drive time on mine yet so i was thinking they were just breaking in.
I have Hawks with Jeg's Rotor Tech Cross drilled discs since May. First, with these pads the car actually stops, not unlike OEMs that only slowed the car down. Second, it is almost dustless. With one month of use of Hawks, it produces the same amount of dust as the OEM's did in 4 days. I tell ya, Hawks pads are a incredible set of pads.

I have EBC greens and EBC rotors and I love them ! I've NEVER lost any stopping power no matter how hard I push them they're always there.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
I've used both, and I can only really comment on dust, since both setups were completely different (stock vs. H body, both on my car). The Hawks create alot more dust. The EBCs were a huge improvement over generic brand pads and rotors when I first put them on. The Hawks seem to be good (initial bite and little to no fade), but I've only put maybe 1000 miles on them so far.
at least 5,000 miles on the hawks with plenty of autocrosses in there as well, plenty of pad left and they stop very well, press a little and you slow down, stomp em and you STOP.

I like Axxis Ultimates for two reasons: 1. They work really well for autocrossing and daily driving (if you can live with brake dust) 2. They are only $40 plus shipping.
hey brian i just got the hawk hps along with baer decelarotors like two weeks ago. i love the braking ability i have now. i do have some brake dust but it is far from bad. its at a light dusting on the rims right now. haven't cleaned the rims since doing the brakes (june 30th i believe). if you wanna take a look or ride let me know. i could maybe catch you after i get out of work on my way home sometime.

SO EVERYTHING!
I have had EBC green stuff pads in the car for allmost a year and they were great, light brake dust. I used them for daily driving and autocrossing as well as a two day time trial at one of the local race tracks. On the track which they are normally reccomended they seemed to brake like the GM pads if not slightly better. I have just recently picked up a set of EBC Yellow stuff pads and so far really like them, I am also going to flush the brake system and put in some Motul brake fluid in there and I am going to do a proper bedding in of these pads.
my setup is allways plain blank rotors, I use to use GM pads for everything (autoX,lapping) and just last year started to try the EBC stuff pads. I have tried KVR carbon metalic(I think thats what they were) and and they lasted maybe four months with a bunch of autoX and a bunch of lapping days and they were no better then the GM pads.

Try the valvoline synthetic brake fluid instead of Motul. I've NEVER been able to boil it. If you are looking to spend some money on brakes, the stainless braided line replacements are well worth the money.

I second both of those statements.
