I have a set of urethane rear axle bushings and im wondering if anyone has replaced thiers before..ie how do you getthem out of the car?? and new ones in?? in thinking torch but thats prolly not the best idea...any clues..phil
I'd suggest a C-clamp and a large socket (like a 1-1/2" or something, don't remember now).
The new ones are a three piece design, right?
I did a set of them while working @ HRM........ Dave and I used a torch to melt/burn the old bushings, then hammered them out...... made a HUGE mess and STANK TO HIGH HELL.........
To do them again, I'd try the C-clamp and socket method.

I can take pictures of a axle removed from the car.
But I'm not going to take the bushings out for no reason. That's a heck of a lotta work/frustration for a picture.
yah no kiddin..and thanks for the pic..i was hoping for maybe a technical pic like one of those exploded ones from gm..i contacted rsm..welll tried..lol..phil
