Sunday, July 23, 2006 10:52 AM
i bought some slotted brembo rotors and hawk pads, and im wondering if i need to have them turned before i install them on my car?

and is it ok if i use DOT4 or should i only use DOT3? i read in the sticky that they are similiar...but im wondering if i will get anything out of using DOT4?

thanks guys!

Keep the Dot 3 as the system was designed for it.

Also, if they are new, you should not have to turn them, as they should be new and within perfect specs.

Dot 4 should be fine in there. It's DOT 5 that you have to worry about.

Slotted rotors cannot be turned. Neither can drilled rotors.

I doubt you'll ever see brake temps high enough to warrant even DOT 3 specs, let alone DOT 4.

Reward points you will receive when you order an item. Then on a future order you can use these "points" as a cash discount. When you use reward points on an order you do not accure additional points. So many save up and get a large discount off of an order.
