OK guys...I've srearched and searched and searched and havent found the asnwers that I'm looking for. So im turning t the ORG for help, hoping you guys can help me. First, what are good struts to use with the sportline springs? I've heard either Koni yellows, or tokico d-specs, but I hear that the yellows need some fabrication to get in. I want a strut that will slide right in. I drive a 2000 cavalier 2.2.
Second, do any of you have a 00-02 cavalier with either the z24 or ls sport ground effects on sportlines with pictures of the side of the car? That would be very helpful.
Come on guys, please help me...Im sick of the ridiculous wheel gap I have and I dont think the prokit will do much for me,a nd I want to lower it the right way, and not cheap out, so please, any help and pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Steve Ennen AKA Sidewinder

1. Koni's aren't as bad as some people make it sound. If you have a drill and a hacksaw you'll be fine. There's directions around here somewhere, they are very detailed and complete.
2. You'd be suprised how nice prokit looks too. Searching the member section is your best bet. Might try google too (google search
JBO & Prokit and
JOB & Sportlines for starters).
I've been using Sportlines up front and Pro-Kit in the rear on Koni "Reds" since December of 2003 - I've got the Stock GM Z24 body kit parts on my car and can get a regular sized hydraulic rolling jack under there (barely just but it fits). Before you ask - 2.2L motors with manual trans are lighter than 2.4L's with AutoTrans which is what ALL the major manufacturer's use for their performance springs testing mules - this is an extensively discussed topic here for years and years and the mixture of the two types of springs make it so that the rear doesn’t sink lower than the front when you use the same springs front to rear on 2.2Ls...
But yeah - in my 2.5 years of experience, you should be ok getting your jack under there - even after a few years of settling on your springs (which adds about another 1/2 to 3/4 inches down at about 2 years time)

any of you ever heard of a spring brand called intrax? They make a 2" drop for cavaliers, and IM curious about this company. also..Clear watre, any pics of the wheel gap in your rear? that would be very hopeful in my decision making process.
When I get some time I'll try to stop back by with pics - too busy at the moment though. The upside to waiting for mine would be though; that they show a 2.5 year settle which most people can’t present. And remember - my set up is Sportlines up front and Pro-Kit in the rear. I'm also rolling on 18 Konig Flatlines wrapped in 225x40xZR18 Pirelli P7000's for reference of wheel size and tire depth vs. wheel gap.

They're junk. Read the faq.
I have the Eibach Pro-Kits on my 'vert.... with Koni Reds (in the front, at least). I have the Alero IRS swap, so my car is a little different than most
Look @ my sig
once i get my springs and install them i will post pics..... they were shipped out today so probably over the weekend
How is the ride with sportlines? Are they really stiff and hard on the bumps? Also, how would they be on Kyb Agx struts? I have the prokit on the agx's now and it just doesn't seem low enough for me.
