suspension?!
Sunday, July 30, 2006 8:23 PM
I have to replace the struts in my 96 sunfire gt and decided just to go out and get everything including the struts to lower my car because i planned on doing it soon anyways. Would anyone recommend parts that aren't too expensive or whats the best thing for me to do to drop my car at least 2 inches cuz there is way too much space in my wheel well. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanx

First 2" = Expensive, not cheap.
Second, read the FAQ. It has most of the answers to your questions.
Third, ask questions that make us think you read the faq, and they'll get real answers (not me telling you to read the FAQ).

2" is gonna require either koni yellow struts or tokico dspec struts, both run about 550-600 brand new and thats just for the struts. if you want springs you can get a set of sportlines, that would be the cheapest way. or you could get coils but thats gonna cost you about 400 brand new for coils.

then again your trying to get it done cheap so i can see dropzone and ebay coils in your future

1st read the FAQ.

2" is tockico d-specs, or koni yellows
Springs: Sportlines, or H&R. You do not want a 2" drop in the front, at aprox 1.5" the control arms are parallel to the ground and at the optimal angle. If your looking for aggressive the sportlines are probably what your looking for. your still looking at around $600-$700. Good suspension doesn't come cheap.
