KYB AGX question
Friday, August 04, 2006 5:21 AM
I just installed AGX on my car. now I have a question, or a concern rather about the settings. When turning the "dial" or knob whatever, is it ok to go from 8-1, or is it better to go all the way back around from 8-7-6 and so on to 2-1? (obviously an example of my rear shocks, but say the same thing for the settings on the front on, can you go frmo 4-1, or should you go 4-3-2-1)
...I have tried searching, however everything ive come up with is just recommended settings.
any help would be appreciated.

i didnt think it was possible to just jump from 8-1 or from 4-1 i would assume youd have to go back down. i know on my easystreet struts you cant jump like that.

Thanks, when i adjusted the rears for the first time i reached in, udner car without actually looking at the dial. I turned it approx. 6-7 clicks, before realizing it hadn't stopped. They came on setting 4, and when i moved my body/head under car it was now on setting 6. So i figured i had to have passed setting #8. I then turned it in opposite direction to return it to 8. Is this a bad thing?

shouldn't be a problem, I've done that to mine a few times, nothing in the manual says you can't , but for the fronts your safer going 4->1 than skippings from 1 to 4 and vice versa. The valves are diffrent in the front than the rear.
