I am getting I Fe-1 Swaybar for my cavalier. Will it work fine on my 01 Cavalier. Also will it make a difference compared to not having a swaybar right now. What would be a good match for a rear sway bar?

You'll need the D brackets and 1 bolt to put it on (assuming it came with bushings and links).
Will notice a difference. FE2 rear axle would match it better than most aftermarket bars....
I'm buying it off of a member here that said all is included to install it. I might upgrade later on down the road to the eibach kit on it but this is better than what I have right now. plans are pro-kit on gr-2's with eibach sway bars and 17" wheels with 225-45-17 tires. I am hoping that it will handle fairly well with this combo.

factory 18mm swaybar for the front 95-99
fe2 is 22mm 00-02
fe3 is 24mm 03+
it's coming with the d clamps and all for it. it's the 18mm front bar. hoping this alone will help me out some.

You need atleast AGXs for the prokit. GR2s can not handle the spring rates or drop.
If you are getting the eibach sway bar kit later, why would you get a stock front one? I'd just wait for the eibach one.
A front 18mm will make quite the difference if you don't have anything now. Adding front and rear large bars makes a HUGE difference (I have 25.4F/22R and love them).
I have a couple FE2 bars laying in my garage......
FE1 is better then nothing...... but I'd go bigger, exp. if your putting all that time into putting one in.......

What is involved in doing this install. Is it a really hard job or is it fairly simple and straight forward?

BTW that way is easy but there is a faster way. I wrote that up while doing front sway bar and control arm bushings. If you can diconect the intermediate shaft form the sterring rack and then just take the subframe bolts out and let the whole subframe hang by the suspension, and swap the bar while it hangs there.
GM's warranty time for doing front sway bar is 1.1 hours.

sell the fe1 and get the fe3 that is a big front bar and works very well with a addco 25.4mm rear bar.
see ya!
Thanks darkstars. I appreciate it. I doubt I could find another dummy like me to buy the small sway bar.

lol....don't beat yourself up..it was only $27 bux...
Couldnt install didnt have the bolts I needed for it. I'm just gonna hold off and get the aftermarket sway for the front. Prolly addco and get a progress rear to match it up. I'll take it somewhere and have someone install the front one. Whats general labor on the install for a front sway bar? I'm figuring around $200
