Another suspension question
Tuesday, August 22, 2006 2:36 PM
Well i'm getting Koni Yellows for 550 Canadian brand new with warrenty and tax... which they are usually $780 plus tax

so should I get Eibach prokit with the 1.4 drop
or Ground-Control Coil-Overs....

I drive in the winter so i'm leaning towards the coil over so I can raise them in the winter and lower in the summer, but I heard the ride isn't that smooth

I read the FAQ but anyone have anything to add or help with. If they have either of the 2 set ups???

thanks

you should check into if you have to get an alignment after raising and lowering it all those times with the coilovers. im not sure, but i read it somewhere that you might have to, so figure paying $100- $120 each year to get 2 alignments

well when I change rims/tired for winter summer I would raise lower suspension

I would have to align it when I change tires anyways....

no?

as for the choice its really up to you. if you want to be able to adjust it then get the ground controls. the yellows will handle pretty much anything you put on them

as for the alignment, you do not need to align it everytime you raise and lower the car. also if you swap wheels, you do not need to align it. only time you need to align the car is when you remove a major suspension part like struts or control arms

far noticeable.... coilovers will undoubtedly be stiffer than reg progressive springs.

I'm so confused now...

I called the guy who I can get the Konis from asking how much for Groundcontrol... there 600
he said it comes with struts and shocks...

so that means I don't need to Koni's...

I am so confused now lol....

is GC shocks and struts good? does anyone know...

should I get the koni's with prokit
koni's with GC sleeves
or full GC coil over with struts/shocks....

any personal preference or anyone with expierence with any of these????

thanks

GCs do NOT come with shocks or struts unless it's a package deal.
