I need to put new brakes on my 04 Sunfire, and I was looking at Powerslot Rotors. What kind of experience (good or bad) has anyone had with these? Can these rotors be cut down if high spots develop? Also, can these be used with stock calipers? And finally, what brand brake pads would be recommended for these rotors?
i love my powerslot rotors with hawk pads. they are so much better than stock, especially in wet weather. installation is a breeze and they look nice too. if you decide to go with the powerslot rotors, check out turbotechracing.com, they usually have good deals on those rotors and hawk pads as well
I love mine. I got the hawk pads and the ss brake lines from gravana. Ive had mine for over a year. Outstanding performance for daily driving and light autocross.
powerslots and HP pads for a while now. Love em.

I have powerslot rotors, and hawk pads. I love the combo. Way better stopping than stock, and no brake fade at all.
I've read on other forums that the combination of Hawk pads with the powerslot rotors creates some squealing/squeaking. Anyone have/had this problem?

sometimes when they're cold like backing away from my drive-way if I hit the brakes I might hear them squeal.
15.574 @ 89 mph stock without charger. new times with charger coming soon.
i upgraded my rotors too. Im telling you, they are worth it. plus installation on our cars is soooo easy. my brakes dont fade after alot of racing and hard braking. do it, im glad i did.
No complaints, Powerslot, Hawk pads and SS lines (Thank you Gravana Jim for lovely package deal)
Had the EBC (Greenstuff and their slotted rotors) before, and ate those rotors pretty quickly (Cracked and blued)
Granted, I do autocross pretty regularly...that can be pretty hard on braking components.
I like the Powerslot/Hawk combo better. The rotors are a direct replacement for OEM, so stock calipers and everything work.
I think my Hawk/Powerslot combo is also quieter than my EBC Greenstuff combo. When the Greenstuff got hot, it would absolutely SCREAM. It would still stop at least...

yeah i'm on ebc's and powerslots... real awesome, till you overheat them
. But you shouldn't be able to overheat these on the street, took me a couple laps to do it.
Power slot and baer are both very good rotors.
EBC and Hawk pads would be a great pad to go with them.
