Anyone have the part number for the rear brake cylinder (the part that pushes out the brake shoes)?
I need it for 03+. If it helps, on mine it's blue.
Thanks
Here is a pic of what I need exactly. It is the blue cylinder that i need.
Thanks
blue huh? seems like its been replaced before.....i dont have the number on hand but u can jsut run into advace auto and they will get it for you..15 dollar part iirc.....mine was a bitch to take out but everyone says its easy....if you have to pull the hub like i did its a T55 torx...if you dont good luck to you....be sure to use penetrating oil...rust loves our cars
and you would need to also need to know if its import or export on this.
if you go to a auto parts store like advance auto parts and when they look this up they are going to ask you if its a import or export on this wheel cylinder trust me on this
95-99 Domestics are the smaller size.
00-05 Domestics and all Exports are the larger size drums.
Machzel08 just so you know the blue is factory at least for the 03+
im 01...so i guess thats why i dont know...thnx

It was never replaced--I am the one and only owner on this car and this piece has been there from day one.
Every auto parts store I call only has a listing up to 02. From what I have read on here, 03 started using a larger drum, so I am guessing that anything older than that will not work.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, coz if a cylinder for an 02 will work, I can have it tomorrow.
It's my own fault that i need a new one. I had both drums off to lubricate the backing plate where the pad touches since it was squeaking when I let off the pedal. Being the genius that I am, I put the drum back on the passenger side and forgot I had the driver's side still off. I got in to test the brakes to see if my lube job worked and the driver side cylinder blew out one of the pistons and shot brake fluid out. So, I am pretty sure that is how my seal inside the cylinder got damaged.
haha...yea the way i broke mine was i squeezed the cyl.....total dumbass move
Well contacted my parts finder for you no listings in the books for the companys that local parts stores would have but it is delco # 172-1640 so that can help you find one at the dealer. were going threw some more books for you, and if I hear anything else i'll let you know but all we found is that delco #.
Forgot to mention we found that the brake parts for our 03+'s are just for these three year run. at least the cylinders and drums
ok just got a call back. Find a part store that sells raybestos brake parts. You need a part number WC-370133. going to run around 30bucks.
he got it at a dealership. It was like 86 bucks or something

Hey man, I appreciate that a ton. I called all the local places that sell Raybestos stuff, but none of them could get it. I did manage to find it on partsamerica.com for like $37, but I would have had to wait for it and pay for shipping anyway.
so anyway, as it turned out, by the time I saw your post, I already had the dealer part in hand, all $86 worth of it.
thanks for everyone's help on this. I got it installed today and just got done bleeding the brakes. All I have left to do is put the wheels back on, bed in the brakes, and drive.
