Suspension set up advice

ok opinions please.

struts, right now i am set on getting d specs.

springs...i have been going back and forth for a while now. first i wanted sportlines, but then decided its too low. then decided on pro kit. then decided it wasnt low enough. i mean some pictures make the sportlines look perfect and others make them look too low, opposite with prokit. now im thinking goldlines. they might not be as "name brand" and eibach but they are 1.8 all around which is a nice drop and keeps the stance i like. what do you guys think. anyone have exp. with the goldlines? care to share info?

keep in mind i dont wanna go too low because my roads are @!#$ (ask joeydabomb, bonnett, kyle...any of them) and also the lifts i use on my car are drive on and swing arms...so i dont know if i go too low if i can still get it on them. granted a jack would do the job but its just more hassle. im more stuck on @!#$ty roads. so any advice and info on exp would be greatly appriceated. right now i have all the money and just need to know what i want. again im pretty set on goldlines and d specs, which will only run me $450ish. thanks a lot guys.

Might also consider B+Gs at 1.6" drop. I have them and love them.
I was in the same position. ProKit just wasn't enough, Sportslines were too much.

Check out the FAQ, last page, for a list of all the springs currently known (of any quality) for Js.

The D-Specs are a very good idea. They'll give you good flexability to use just about any springs you want and keep it under control.

is there a reason why you dont want coilovers? to me it seems like a set of coilovers would fit you better this way you can change the height if you want to.

fyi, coils dont give a harsher ride then springs. i see people use that excuse alot but if you have the right struts w/ them, coils ride very nice.

that does make sense. i found a great deal on the goldlines though. $80 shipped. so if i dont like them or something i can just go for coil overs...i wont be out much and i could resell them. thanks a lot man. im ordering the dspecs and goldlines right now...

Goldlines are much lower than sportlines. They sag to much more than the 1.8" advertised. A guy around my way had them on his cav, and side by side, his car was quite a bit lower than mine, front and rear.
