Rear Drums Squeaking, Grabbing

I think it's a return spring issue, but here's what happens.

When I go to brake, at ANY speed, my rear drums squeak and seem to grab stronger than usual. When I brake for a distance, it seems to be pulsating, a sort of grab-release-grab-release sensation.

How hard is it to break down and repair the drums? Can I do this in a day with the right tools? I'm going to purchase the Haynes Manual from AutoZone and look over it, but I want to be able to fix it within the day.

if by repair you mean replace parts...its easy...i can disassemble a side in 10 minutes tops. Just make sure to do one side at a time. this way if you screw up you can complare to a good one

I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.

Ok, good advice. Will I need an air-compressor torque gun (really don't know the technical name is).

no you will never need air tools to work on a car, but it defiantly helps!!!
