I dunno if its a problem with my struts or what. My setup as of right now is
Suspension/Wheels/Brakes:
* Poly control arm bushings
* Gravana tuning coilover system
* Eibach sway bars
* Freedom Design strut tower bars
* Gravana Pillow Ball camber plates.
Ok with that outta the way I have been having a problem with the passenger side poping and clunking. Now It happens with larger bumps or dips in the road and i get a repetitive clunking when i make hard turns left or right. But its only coming from the passenger side. I talked to B&G when I was test fitting the camber plates and they told me it was the strut bottoming out. Well the drivers side is set the same and they even reset them to the stock preset ride height and still same problem. So basically i'm looking at its not the struts bottoming out like they had thought. Oh yeah the clunks when turning are on smooth and or bump roads doesn't matter. I need to get this fixed fast cause its getting really annoying and i'm sure its not to safe to be driving on heh.

alright couple ideas, the noice your hearing... is it a clunking or a poping sound? Also you said it makes noise while "turning" be more specific.... if your turn the wheel in hold it one place does it still do it or is it just when your stillmoving the steering wheel?. Try pushing down on the fnder of the side makes noise and see if you can get it to do it without actually driving the car. If they think its a strut raise it up and see what happens with it. And go from the there, make sure the strut i bolted to the camber plate nice and tight, and stuick your hand in between the wheel and fender and put your hand on the springs, and have someone else turn the wheel back and forth and see if you feel a pops in the spring.
I'm thinking the bearing in the camber plate crapped out causing the spring to twist, bind up and pop, while turning the wheel, or the strut isn't securely mounted, causing a clunk, or the strut bottoming out,
Ryan b&g tightened them all up when i was there
it only happens when the car is moving and its more like a clunking rapid when im turning. Everything is def secure under there in the strut area even had firestone double check that when i was there gettign the alignment done. Im starting to think this is a bigger problem then I want to findout heh. All those years on the hp coils on stock struts prob @!#$ up something in the axle or maybe the wheel bearing?

it very well could be your cv joint starting to take a @!#$, it will make a rapid click/clunk while turning. My jetta did it non stop
check a few things, could be bearing, cv joint, or mount
i've had or have seen all 3 do eactly what you're describing
1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
5-spd
Sounds like the CV to me. The hub usually makes a humming noise, the CV makes a popping noise. The stock CV and Hub are good to 250HP or more (depending on how you beat on them) in my opinion.

Well im not really to worried about the hp rating but im aiming for 300+ with the full build and also with as low as my car is and with auto crossing i woudl assume that the beefed up ones woudl last longer not jsut for the hp reasons but for the angle of the shaft and the abuse from autocrossing
