Lowering options

Hey guys,
Just bought a 00 Cavalier. I'm looking into lower options. I have read the faq's but still a few real world questions.
I would like to run airbags but the $2500.00 price is a little out of my range. Is there a less expensive option? I read about the Eibach Pro vs sport debate. And also the different struts avalible. On one of my previous cavaliers I ran the Intrax springs but the ride quality was a little rough. I was also thinking about coilovers. Opinions on what's the best overall setup??

well first you have to figure out what you want. it seems like your not even sure if you want springs, coils or bags. first step your gonna have to decided is what is best for you. a simple lowering spring? a coil setup w/ adjustablitly? or an air ride set up?. to me w/ a name like turbo mike (maybe your turboed, maybe your not, i dunno your reg isnt filled out) but if you were running a turbo, id go w/ a nice set of coils like gravana or tein ss.

Yea, your right. I've not decided fully. Bags would be great, but there is the cost issue. Just springs would be ok, but i'd like to drop it lower for shows and higher for daily driving... so maybe adjustable coil overs are what i'm needing?

TurboMike- Had the nickname since the mid '90s. Goes back to me always having a turbo car.. Turbo Dodges, Nissans, etc.. but mainly Buick Grand Nationals (I owned 4 at one time). I was on the founders of www.turbobuick.com back in later 97.

well bags you can get for about 1900 not 2500. there is someone in the northeast forum selling gravanas that are practically brand new. for only 1000 which is a good deal. his name is 97cavy

as far as springs go, I have Eibach Pro kits with Kyb AGX struts, rides really nice and handles great, so as far as springs go this setup has my vote.

i vote adjustable coilovers. that would be your best bet. lower it and choice of ride comfort.

I suggest you going for bags because it s very attention to every people ! I spend $4,500 on the top line air ride system but you not have to get same as mine you can get cheaper at $1,600 to $2,000 for basic line but it s stilling work great !

Don't forget that many tracks will not let bagged cars on. The one nearest me will not.
