yeah its easy. support engine with a jack. remove bolts that hold mount in. replace with dog bone, torque down as tight as you can. done.

put a piece of wood between the jack and engine. And yes, it is just that easy

Heh i never supported the engine at all. I jsut jacked the side of the car up put it on stands and removed the stock. THen put in the new one and pulled on the engine till it lined up and slipped the bolt in.

Get them from Karo at CarCustoms....free shipping and I've always had good experiences with him.

I used a jack as a just in case thing, also it helped to keep the engine in place reinstalling the dogbone...

Torque specs:

Engine Mount (right hand side) to the Body Support Nut
44 N·m
32 lb ft

Engine Mount (right hand side) to the body support bolt
66 N·m
49 lb ft

Ok the bolt on the right is what? I am kind of confused by your post. The nuts are welded so they cant be torqued. Also there is a bolt that attaches to the engine and a bolt that attach to the sub frame.

That's straight from the GM manual.

I accidentally copied one too many things and left out a hyphen

Should just be: Engine Mount (right hand side) to the Body Support - Bolt

Right hand side is referring to the passenger side. Same torque specs for both bolts.

You're normal tight is about right. 32 ft-lbs isn't that much, but it isn't loose. No jack necessary, I've never used one.

you dont have to use a jack but its still not a bad idea.

the lower is even easier than the upper, and the upper took me only like 10 minutes to install.

Wow that looks like it does alot. Whats the procedure for the upper mount. If I take it of with out a jack underneath the car do I risk the engine mis aligning. I am definitly going to order those two parts right now.

i used a jack just to insure the motor wouldn't move. its just that one extra step to be safe on.

As far as the upper mount goes...

you just remove the 3 bolt plate around the mount. (2 on top, on under coolant tank) Then slide in the insert. But you have to a good stock mount in. It can't be busted.

TurboTechRacing has just released a new mount for the 2.4's! It looks to be much better, and a little more eye candy under the hood. Check it out. Its a full replacement instead of just a insert.

Yes and the "insert" still has A LOT of play compared to our Turbo Tech Racing solid engine mount, which is a 100% complete replacement mount. The Turbo Tech Racing Mount has alomst zero movement, yet has very little vibs within the car.

I take it that its your business. So the one from car customs is just and insert and the one from you is a full replacement. Hmmmm, I will look into it. Does it install the same way?

go with his full replacement. you wont be dissapointed. can be coated almost any color you want. the car customs one is the prothane insert. the one from turbo tech racing is a turbo tech racing brand.

Correct.

The TTR mount installs a bit differently, check these 4 threads:
