The bar is going on my 2002 cav base coupe. I already have B&G 1.6"drop and koni reds.
Sorry I do not have pictures of this install, but I got it done this weekend with only this site as my guide. There are plenty of pictures here.
It wasn't too difficult, but more than I was expecting. Snaking the bar above the sub frame was the toughest part, followed by clamping it down with the poly D-bushings to the sub frame. But it fits. The only other element of concern was how close the passenger side end link is the the axaxlehen the suspension is hanging. When its dropped, its good clearance, but when hanging, the little clamp that holds the boot on actually rubs the end link when you spin the tire. I have seen this issue here before, and the persons fix was to use the shorter stock bolt for the end link and eliminate the spacer supplied by addco. But like I said, the clearance seems to be fine when the car is on the ground, no rubbing issue, no steering binding or anything like that.
As far as the review: its an awesome product. My car had no swabars to begin with, so it was a very noticeable change in turn in and suspension performance at the limits in general. It's exceeded my expectations so far, but the weather has been crappy and I need some dry parking lot to really push it. I just cannot wait for the rear to go on.
You'll love it in the dry, once i finished installing my addco's i went out and drove around for a few hours.......hope you enjoy the new setup, what else do you plan on getting?

The addco rear is sitting in my garage waiting to go on. I need more tools. Other than that I just have the 1.6" drop and the koni's. As far as other suspension mods, strut tower braces are not out of the question, but I think once the addco rear bar is on, I'll be more than happy with the performance in the twisties.
On a side note, how long do you all think aftermarket springs and struts should last? I'm pushing about 85,000 miles on mine, but they still feel very tight and responsive.
I dont know how long they will last........I've had my koni's and tein springs for 10k or 15k and i bet i will get much more out of them. It all depends on the roads and driving habits, you will deffinatly notice a difference with the front bar, I didnt notice much when i added my rear bar though.
I had the same issue with my Eibach front... sooo close to the boot. I've heard that the rear spacers are switched with the front... so they're in the wrong bags. Dunno for sure about that tho... and that's likely just the Eibach ones. I sold off the rear (didn't work on my IRS swap) tho....
I used my grinder to take down the end of the bar.... worked minty.
It was actually the bolt/endlink that was close to the boot, but only when the suspension was hanging. I stuck my hand in there while it was on the ground and there was a good 1-2" clearance.
The roads were dry yesterday evening and this morning, so I got to push it a little harder. The difference is amazing. I think I have the crappiest, most unevenly worn 14" tires out there, and it still grips!! I can push it harder than I ever have without the bar, and I don't even hear the tires squeal or feel them break loose. I'm planning on a good lightweight set of 16" with good tires this spring if i can sell my 18" (not on the car now for winter), so that will complete the suspension/handling package on my car. I'm very pleased.
