Well I had a very breif talk with Brad Vlastin with Never Enough Auto last week and asked him about talking to Addco with thoughts of a larger front sway bar for the J.
This thread is basically to toss around the idea and see how many people are interested in a larger bar. I have the 1" but I'm really curious to see how a 1.125" - 1.5" bar would feel.
I know we would have to give addco a drawing to get them bent correctly as a larger bar if bent the same way as the 1" wouldn't clear the ps rack and this will involve drilling new locations for new D-brackets as the stockers might fit a 1.125" but no larger I think would be possible.
Just seeing if theres any interest, the 1" bar is good but it could be better!
hmmm, maybe its just me, but i cant see how having it .125, or even .5" bigger would make any difference.
are you not happy with the bar you have now? or do you just want to see if it will help out more?
Seems like it would make the car push.
Well so far in my exsperiance, the progressivly larger FSB I've used, resulted in a better more responsive less body roll setup. Now I have the 1" and was wondering to what end will a larger bar stop helping and reach its limits of improvement, the 25.4mm is nice and it was better than a 22mm so what does that say for a 28.5mm+? Will it be better or worse? Wont know unitl its made and tried out.
"Will it fit" is the better question.
When i installed mine, the screw/bolts in the center chassis was damn near close to the 25.4mm bar. And will it fit in the stabilizer adapter?
As for feel, I would figure it would work best on the models with FE2's rear bar and with rear 25.4mm. Anything less I would figure it would understeer.
Remember the goal is to get neutral handling.
Also by going this big, I strongly urge better grippier tires as the car will slide out more too.

^Yup, it would require completly redrilling the D-brackets and getting Addco to push the bar back another 1" or so on the subframe so you can do this.
