About a year ago my passenger side rear handbrake cable broke. It snapped right where it ataches to the drum. Ever since them ive had brake problems. I didnt want to fix it at the moment so I said screw the hand brake for now. Now the problem has gotten real bad. When I depress the brake it feels spongy. Also the rear seems to brakes before the fronts causing a dragging effect and thumping noise. Also when driving you can hear the thumping/clumping a little. The rear driver side seems to have more power a than the passenger side and the fronts arent engagged fully till I really push the brake. Ive bleed them... changed the front/rear pads/rotors/drums. And still nothing. Seems to get worst every time. Im thinking ablot giving up and bringing it to a shop thats going to charge me a arm 'n' leg. Unless someone can give me some help. THanks. Im in the Orlando area.
wheel cylinder defective or are you sure the brake booster vaccum lines not broke or leaking

nope. I replaced both cylinders at the same time. when I did the pads... When I first start up its real bad... butas it warms up the brakes get a lttle better.
Let me think about this one, the cable snapped and problems started happening.. so you replaced everything but that cable? Why would you replace everything besides the actual broken piece? Now, I'm not saying that it will fix it, but it would make sense to replace the part that first broke when the problem started occuring.
Check your wheel cylinders and your master cylinder and vacuum booster, and fix your damn emergency brake cable.
