d specs and springs

yes another d spec question. i have been searching and reading around but didn't really find what i was looking for. i have decided to go with the d specs for shocks and struts but im unsure about what spring to use. i was looking at the eibach kits (sportline and pro). it seems to be that everyone goes with the sportline. is this just because it lowers the car more? whats the best spring to use with the d spec?

there is no best, its whatever you want to go with. with dspecs you can use any spring you want because they will handle a good amount of drop and can take the spring rate abuse. i would go with road magnets if i had dspecs

A lot of people use Sportlines because they wanted a low drop, and then needed a strut capable of handling it -- so their choices were limited to D-Specs or Konis. While they may be popular for lowering, D-Specs could be used with virtually any spring or coilover -- even stock springs. Their adjustability makes them quite versatile. In the end, spring choice is mainly question of your comfort threshold. Even on good struts, a lowered car will suffer to varying degrees in the comfort department. The ground clearance of any body kit you might have, and the harshness of your local roads are also factors.
