Im looking to start tubbing the rear of my 03 cavi fodo. It hits the front part of the fender constantly. Anyone have pics or ideas on where to start? It looks like I can cut out the front of the fender under the door sill. I dont think it will lay, but will give a couple more inches of room. Im bagged with the easystreet bag over strut setup.
yeah, been looking at ways to do it my self. Only problem is. Mines a daily driver. So if I start cutting, it needs to be finished before I can drive it again.
Your basically going to have to tub the door as well. Doesn't look like there is any other way around it. And you may have to cut the door frame up too. Which will need to be re-braced to support the uni-body structure.
Its a lot of work to do to a four door. 2 doors are cake compared to a 4 door.
Basically if you don't have to drive yours every day, and are good with a welder and bending sheet metal, you should be able to accomplish this. And when you do. Come do mine. lol.
I wish you could just beat the crap outta the inner fender's to make it lay rocker. But yeah. Not gonna happen. lol.

no offense, but if you arent sure where to start or how to complete this project, it may not be something you should try.
can you weld? can you fabricate sheet metal?
yup jeff (20sn22s) is tubbed in the rear and is tucking 22s. lots of custom work involved.

exactly, its even harder than doin a 2 door
extend rear trailing arm approx 2 inches and then worry about tubbing. 1 it'll look better 2 , wont have to tub as much!!!
