How are the AGX's

those who have the KYB AGX's and Eibach Prokit. Are you guys happy with the drop? I'm worried that I will spend all this money, only to realize I wished I had gone lower.

its a popular choice and its a nice setup but if you wish to go lower on down the road you'll need a whole new setup. if your thinking about going lower later on down the road why not just get dspecs this way if you wanna change the springs or go w/ coilovers youll be ok

i love mine. let me get a picture.....

i think that's the right one. this was maybe 12hrs after they went on. they had not been driven on yet. they will settle farther, i just don't have a more recent pic. The one in my sig is me racing with that suspension, but the side toward you is loaded so the drop looks bigger

The thing is, I have a 05 base model. Because it doesn't have side skirts, the car looks like it's designed for off roading. If you look at my profile picture, you can kind of see what I mean. If I go with the prokit, do you think that the car will still look high? On another note I aslo commute, I know the prokit would be fine on a bumpy road, but would something like the Sportline springs be risky.

I've had the sportlines forever, I love them, but am looking into Ground Controls and Koni's. When I was in between body kits and had just the base front and rear on the car still looked like a 4x4. And that's on sportlines, 1.7 and 2.3, I believe. The prokit is only like 1.3, I think. On the plus side the prokit rides just like stock, I put them on a buddies car and you couldn't even tell it was lowered when you were riding in it. Mine on the other hand, rides like a brick. The sacrifices we make to be modified.

I have the Eibach prokit coming in and I will order the agx's by tommorow. Quick questtions, are the agx's dircet replacment or do I have to modify them. Also when you guys installed them, did you actually tighten and measure the mount bolts to 140ft/lbs, or did you just tighten them as much as you could?

i torqued them down because I'm kinda obsessive with the torque wrench

torque wrench? what's that? But seriously, the install is very easy. No modifications needed. A second pair of hands is useful, though.

i hope to be getting this set up real soon. i've done my homework on all this too. the main reason im going with prokit is not necessarily for the drop, but for the quality. i've heard nothing but good things about them and i am trying to make the suspension on my car as good as possible before doing too many go-fast goodies lol

I had the AGX/pro-kit combo on my old cavalier. To say the least, it was an incredible ride and the adjustments on the shocks/struts were very fast and easy to do and you could really feel the difference. I was worried about it not being low enough but once i had it on the car i thought it set it off perfectly. I also had the eibach front and rear sway bars/strut tower braces, and CAB's. I was a very nice handling package.

also had 225/50/16 BFG G-force sport tires on 16" ls sport wheels. The levels of grip and control with the suspension and good tires was unreal.

I love them, had them on my car for over 2 years, with the addition of the front and rear strut bars + good tires....you get a ride 110% better than stock

I got my agx's in the mail today. They are a lot heavier than I thought. Everything looks brand new except that one of the front struts was missing a piece. The other one came with the strut, a new nut, and what looks like a really thick washer. One was missing that really thick washer. Is this thing nessesary for the install? If so, could it be something I can get at Homedepot? I guess I should of figured something was going to be wrong, I only paid $340 for 4 struts. Oh, by the way I already matched the part numbers, so they are the right struts.

Nevermind. Turns out one strut was a newer model, and one was older, so only one came with the spacer. I contacted KYB, hopefully they will send me a replacement.

mine didn't need the spacers.. but came with em. Oh wait, i have 95-99 series mounts that are one piece. I'm looking at getting the same setup for my pt cruiser when it hits 50k miles.

i have the combo...and i love them.......won't change them for anything. you have the agressive stance along with a near factory ride. give or take the pro-kit as far as lowering capabilities, may not be low enough for some peoples liking....it suits me just fine. one of the best investments i've made.

I've had the KYB AGX's and Eibach Prokit for about 6 months now and I love it. Handles wonderfully and I love the drop it gave me. I think I may have gotten lucky with mine though because my drop is a bit more drastic than other cars I've seen with the Pro kit and Agx's. It gives my car a great stance though.
