im looking into the gravana full coilover set but i was wondering if it comes with the strut boots and all the internal parts like the bump stop, etc...or is it a full replacement of everything except for the strut mounts. any help would be appreciated. also is the install hard and require any modification of the strut mounts, etc? thanks
it replaces the whole suspension.. whats their to be confused about?
the only thing you need is strut mounts
oh ok...cool thanks.....i was pretty sure it was like that but i just wanted to make sure...i already have new strut mounts and now i just have to order the gravanas....so the install is pretty easy???
oh yea also, do i have to replace the strut bearings with the gravanas or do they come with something that replaces it because i also bought the bearings for the fronts and im not sure if i need them or not now?
You should also look at The TEIN SS setup, solid front and rear mounts, just bolt on and go. However if you want to go really low the gravanas are probably better because the strut body length is adjustable. The Teins can be lowered but the reccomendation from them is only 1.5" down with the springs they supply.

i have looked into the tein ss but i want the gravanas....but that still didnt answer my questions...do i need the new strut bearings that i just bought or just the mounts becuase if not then i am ganna return the bearings and get my $30 back? Also in the pics of the directions, it looks like you only use the top part of the two piece mount. is this correct?
just the strut mounts is all you need the fronts have their own bearings
and you only use part of the mounts

When I tried ordering these a little over a month ago, they told me they still weren't available for production.

Just got off the phone with Gravana, they said to try in 30 days, but don't hold me to this.

im not really worried about the pillowballs becuase i got a really good deal on the front and back strut mounts already. they are on the floor of my room and now i am waiting a couple weeks to order the coilovers because im bout to go on vacation and i dont want 1200 dollar coilovers just in front of my house for a week. but i had bought bearings for the front but i returned them already as 97trd said that the gravanas have bearings of their own. how does the double adjustability thing work out. like i hear one part does the lowering and the other part adjusts the spring rate. anyone know?
I do, the coilovers have 2 sets of adjustment "nuts" (can't think of the right word), one set for the spring preload, one for the overall hieght. The entire strut is threaded, even the bottom half. I went into Gravana and looked up the setup for your car, it has pics that will better explain. Click
here for the pics. Hope that helps.

i have seen those pics already on the website but i guess i will just have to wait till they get to me to really know what to do
Sorry for leaving it like that, I was going to further explain, but I had to get back to work, my lunch break was over. Anyway, look at the pics again, the struts are 2 seperat pieces, a male sid and a femail side. The top part, or male part as I just refered to it as, works like your standard coilover, its the bottom part that makes these unique. The bottom allows you to adjust the overall hieght, without sacrificing travel. This a much better design than the old sleve on the konis.

so basically you are saying that i can slam or almost slam them and it still ride good? also, can i do the adjustments once on the car or do they have to be off the car to adjust them. does it come with some kind of tool to do the adjustments or what?
you adjust the spring preload with the upper adjust that the spring sits on
then the lower is where you set the height
i think if i had to do it again i would go Tein... its been about 6 months since i orderd my gravana shocks.. recived them to find all 4 were blown and sent them back right away and still im awaiting them... and i am by far not the first to have them blown right out of the box... all though the design of them i must say is very well done, i just have to dial them in once they get here (might even go with a slightly softer spring too (but thats personal preference)
but back to your question... only thing you need to order is the upper mounts and i highly suggest going with a i think 95-98 Jbody mount.. i originaly got 2002 mounts since thats the year of my car and before i even set the car down i returned them for the older mounts (only to find shocks were blown though

how can they come shipped to you blown? did they maybe get damaged during shipment? i still might go tein but i just dont know if they will be low enough for me. i dont have a kit so i want to go pretty low. i was thinking maybe the tein basics but i just bought the 95-99 upper strut mounts and if i got those then i would need the 00-up strut mounts. i dont have the receipt either so that may be a problem.

both kits if you wanted to go super low could do it being that you dont actually have to reduce the travel to lower your car.. unlike other coilover set ups..
and how they come blown out of the box i dont know but there are probaly 15+ people who have had this so its not just me.. its a defective batch i guess... so we will see once i get mine how they work.. it will be about 7 months since i orderd to when i get them though (if these ones arent blow too)
