JUMPY rear end
Sunday, June 17, 2007 7:59 PM
Im new here, and i was wondering what i can do to take the jumpyness out of my rear end. I know i can put more weight on it, but i was wondering if there are any strut/spring combos people recommend. My 04 sunfire is lowered on 225 45 17 konig's and i dont know the current strut/spring combo on it. i haven't looked real close yet. I'm new to GM's, not to sport compact so i know stuff, just gotta get to know the J-body.

chances are it has been lower springs and stock struts. I would look into a new suspension setup, Eibach prokit springs with KYB AGX's are a nice simple setup and not o crazzy

I had KYB GR2's on my zx2 and loved them. very nice ride. paired them with gc coilovers. is there a rear strut bar made for o4 sunnys? even a front strut bar for that matter.

yes there are and there is actually a good amount of choices. My personal favorite front strut bar is the GM one which is also sold by rk sport.

on a J-body you ony have a couple choices for struts, for les sthen a 1.5" drop KYB AGX's, for 1.5" drop or more Koni Yellows or Tockico D-Specs, anythign else your wasting your time and money. The GR2's are definetly a waste of money, they are a stock replacement and not meant for lowering the car on, save up and buy what works.
