DRIVER SIDE DRUM STICKING

my 96 cav the drum is sticking and getting real hot on the driver side i just put new drums and shoes on it any one run in to a similar problem could it me my ebrake cable sticking or a spring??

probably have the shoe adjusted out too far.

also make sure there arent any grooves where the pad sits on the backing plate, or even rust can cause the shoe to stick outwards past the groove and cause the exact problem you have

well i got a new spring kit for it today im going to try that tommoro and check the back plate i have the adjuster in as for as it will go so i could get the drum on i will check all that you guys said anything else you can think of give me a shout thanks guys!

make sure you didnt move the brake adjuster because when i did that its making both side stick after i changed my drums.

Make sure you have the shoes on the right side. Its very easy to put the front shoe facing rear, and the rear shoe facing forward, that will definitely cause your rear brakes to be grabby.
