I recently purchased a new set of KYB GR-2s, with new mounts, for my 99 Z24. The rears went on easy enough, however the fronts don't seem to even come close to going together! I know what your thinking, and I already verified the parts numbers, I have the right equipment. And I know that I have to use some of the components from the original set on these. The diagram that came with the mounts is shown below... it doesn't even show me if i reuse the old bearing... Please help, I NEED my car first thing in the morning...

those mounts {in the pic) don't look liek 95-99 mounts from the drawing. With 95-99 mounts you replace everythign except the the metal top hat looking thing on the top of the mount

But what is the metal top hat? Bearings... or are the replacement mounts supposed to come with those?

I got it after... the bearing setup is TOTALLY different on the KYB mounts then stock... I can now see how metal goes on metal, there's a small rubber ring thats actually the bearings
