Think the calipers are bad too? what else would cause the vibration or shaking in the front end when braking

jack the car up and see if you can move tires around, your wheel bearings might be bad.

^^^ prob not a bad idea.

i checked mine. triple checked actually. i have some play, but its exactly the same on both wheels, so id say its normal wear for 97,000 miles. i was kinda getting worried it might be a bearing issue, but both wheels have exactly the same play, in exactly the same directions, and my noise is coming from the passenger side only. also i have no vibrations or pulsing.

Jacob, you should def check yours if your getting vibrations. jack the car up, grab the wheel at 12 and 6 position, try to rock it. do the same at 3 and 9, and a few other places. if you get movement, you have wear.

i had a bit of movement at 12 and 6, little or none in the other positions, and i went around em all. once kinda half-assed, 2 times real thorough.

Getting the wheel bearings checked is free.

And, balance of the tire is not going to affect the way a car brakes. Trust me.
