I am just looking to replace my rotors and pads with some OEM replacement like Brembo or something...
Just wondering what you guys are using and how you like it..
I was thinking of going with Baer Drilled and Slotted rotors with EBC pads (green ones) as well go with some stainless steel brake lines...

silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
oh yes and i forgot to ask... is this any thing for the drums? like a OEM replacement for them... its not a big deal i just thought i would see if any one has come across something like this...
i did find these (
Jbody drums ) but dont know if they actually have the cooling fins on them or if they are exactly like OEM

I think Brembo makes OE style replacement drums for the J. The ones in that link are more likely a generic photo they use for most all other drums too. I've never seen a J drum with fins on it, they are all smooth so far as I know.

powerstop rotors and hawk pads are pretty popular
i ran the powerslot with the carbon metallic pads, they worked great! plus not much brake dust to clean up!!!
cryo treated powerslots with Hawk HPS, SS lines, and Dot 4 synthetic fluid I do love it but I opted to ditch that setup (its going on the daily driver) in favor of the Wilwood big brakes
Bear decelas and hawk pads and stock rears so much better than stock IMO
For a couple thousand miles, then your your rotrs are covered in cracks
over 8 months on mine no issues. about 9000 miles.
Power Slot, Baer or Brembo
HAWK and EBC pads are good choices also.

I have the Brembo slotted with Hawk pads. This seems to be a very good combination for me. I had some Autozone pads before and they would over heat rather quickly. Slotted rotors retain more rotor material than drilled and slotted, so they should last longer. Whatever you do, make sure to get the s.s. brake lines. Much better brake peddle feel.
this might sound like a stupid question, but how well do the brembo's retain their color?

Baer Decela slotted and drilled rotors and Morse ceramic pads....
works excellent

I have had Baer Decela Drilled and Slotted rotors and Hawk pads and i have had the powerslot slotted rotors and hawk pads and the powerslot and hawk were the best choice. I wish i would have put the powerslots on the second time rather than the baer rotors.
ahh so many to choose from!

lets go for this then...
do you prefer drilled , sloted or both?

honestly, it truly depends on what stage of your life you're in.
i had the xdrilled and slotted years ago, and loved it.
then i went to the slotted-only look and loved it.
now i'm on the plain look and i love it.

EBC green pads are great, but they are harsh on rotors. if you dont use a quality rotor like EBC, Powerslot, Bear, etc you will eat them in short order.
Ive got OE equivelent junk on my car right now, but ill be going back to Greenstuff pads and EBC or Powerslot rotors asap.

On my Cavy I've got the longest warranty rotors my local store had, and then some Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads, it is a pretty decent set up for about $75 or so. I've autocrossed on it 3 or 4 times with little fade, and no ill effects on my pads or rotors.
On my 93 Beretta, which uses the same parts - I've got EBC Green pads, and Brembo slotted only rotors. I've had this set up on for 3 or 4 years now, and autocrossed a full season, plus 4 or 5 more events over the later years and they still work solid. This set up replaced a no name lifetime pad and ebay drilled/slotted rotor combo that I bought in like 2001 or 2. It sucked and cracked and warped both rotors after 5k miles of street use and my first 2 auto-x events ever.
Personally, I feel like SS lines are more important than anything but your pads. Rotors are rotors, as long as they aren't warped they get the job done. I don't condone drilled and slotted, unless you go with a larger brake kit. I don't see one of those in my near future...
Thanks for the like FstCavZ24...lol that's just what I was looking for.
Nopi has the OEM drum brake replacement form BREMBO.
cheers.
