I installed my Road Magnet springs about 4 weeks ago with Mike(StrippedCav) and Jeffie(Satchmoe). And I noticed the springs arent sitting right at all, everyone of them make noise when turning, going over bumps, etc. Its getting really annoying, it feels as if the springs are rotating in the wheel well as I drive. I installed them with brand new D-specs, before anyone asks, I doubt they could be blown already and me mike and jeffie looked at the strut mounts & they looked good. Does anyone else have this problem if so how did you fix it?

well i know they are sitting right after looking at darkstars post. to me it sounds like they are binding up when you turn. jack the car up a little, enough so there is still pressure on the suspension and see if you can look at the springs and look how its sitting on the struts. is the noise coming from the bottom near the perches or up top by the mounts?
It sounds like its coming from the bottom.. The last time I jacked up the car(Brakes) I went to look at the front driver side spring and its was turning freely like there was nothing catching it to hold to the strut.

well since you have lowering springs now thats going to happen. once you jack the car up and the tire is off the ground, you'll be able to move the spring since there is no pressure on them. lowering springs are shorter than stock springs.
k but Mike, it still makes noise lol. I'll just change the mounts then and see what happens hopefully it goes away cause its annoying the hell out of me

thats what i was saying, it might be binding and not seated properly. you could always grease your mounts and see if that takes care of the problem
If the springs binds and pops it because the strut mount is not spinning.

So would new strut mounts be in order than? or would greasing them up work

mine do the same sort of thing; they squeak whenever i hit a bump. i realized also that when i set the struts on the softer settings, the squeaks definitely aren't as bad.

greasing them up may only be a temp solution. if you do have to get new mounts get the 95-99 mounts. they are much better and a 3 piece mount unlike the 00+ that is a 1 piece mount
how was the roadtrip?
I might just pick up the rear solid mounts and hopefully they produce the front ones as well..
Mike check OT for the jeffie and bubba road trip post lol
I too need to invest in new mounts. I guess you could call it a pop, but its more of a bang. lol, same difference. I have less rubbing than before (had to replace the front 2 struts due to them being blown), but its still there. Hopefully mounts solve a few issues.
