Coil Overs......

i am not too sure with who's setup to go with, as it sits there are roughly 4 options to go with, i prefer the full coil over setup

my options are

kw's have 2 options

variant 1's: http://www.kw-suspension.com/en/30_Products/20_KW_Coilovers/10_Variant_1/index.php $1325 msrp
variant 3's: http://www.kw-suspension.com/en/30_Products/20_KW_Coilovers/30_Variant_3/index.php $1925 msrp

Tein:
2 options

tein ss : $1400 msrp

tein basic : $890 msrp

Gravana coils:

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2002_Chevrolet_Cavalier_Coupe_2.4.aspx/1/988/_GRAVANA_CAVALIER_SUNFIRE_COIL_OVER_SUSPENSION_SYSTEM_BY_B_G $1195

Purchase price aside what would be the option you would go with, with the ss's i would not want the edfc, i go to the track often and the car barely gets any road time as it is, only saw 3000kms (not miles) since april

if its more of a track car, i would get koni yellows with a custom set of ground controls

im going with off the shelf purchase instead of a custom set

between them i am leaning between the tein ss or the variant 3's

i just got the tein ss and they are amazing... looking lol they are not on my car yet just got them in the mail today but damn are they sexy, and just cuz they come with the pillow ball mounts is another great reason for them

its not really custom. you just tell them the spring rate you are looking for and gc will make it for you.

I am leaning towards the Tein SS's myself. I have not heard a bad thing about them yet. The pillowball mounts are also a plus

i have them on my other cav right now but i think if his car isnt going to see the road that much, i dont think he would get the full potential use of the ss. i think he could save himself 400 bucks if he went the other route

when the car is on the road, it goes to the track for 1/4 mile, i also plan on doing auto cross and some solo 1

well the ss will be good for auto x and things like that. the way you made your first post sound, it sounded like it was pretty much strictly a track car

yeah, my bad.

its a daily driver that will be going to the track regularily but i dont want to buy a custom set and its between the kw variant 3's or the tein ss with pillowball mounts but im just trying to get personal opinions on them from people that have either installed.

i heard there are rubbing issues with the tein's perch though

For ease, out of the box, no extra work with the mount swapping, go Tein SS.
Talk to Jason over at A Plus he should be able to hook you up.

Otherwise, like others said, save some cash and go for the GC/Koni combo.
