TTR Control Arm Bushings

Does anyone here have the TTR control arm bushings and if so, how do they like them? i'm considering buying them next week to replace my oem bushings that failed MVI this week and i'm just looking for some feedback on the quality and durability of them.

Also, since i know absolutely nothing about this kind of thing.. what are all 6 bushings for? my friend that works as a mechaninc for gm said theres only 4 as far as he could recall..

Thanks for your help

There are 6 total, there are 2 bushings per control arm. 2 of the 6 are a complete bushing. The other 4 are 1/2's so you need two 1/2's to do the other one.

I hope this makes sense....

As far as quality goes, I will let the members speak You will like the improvement they make.

GET EM GET EM GET EM,

they do however have to be pressed in to fit correctly. and you may need a little extra grease than what they send, just follow the directions and it will be fine. i really like mine. stiffened the front up a lot.

I scrapped my lower control arms and ended up snagging a set of SMG arms off of eBay for $125 shipped. Polyurethane makes a BIG difference over the stock (after 108k miles!!!).

Best thing to do is all the mounts at once, upper motor, lower motor, control arm, and trans bushings. that makes the best affect over all.

I would do that but my next year project is probably gonna be an eco swap so there'd be no sense in getting all the other mounts until I'm ready to put the new engine in. But definately I will have every mount or bushing they make when that time comes

Although, that does bring up another question i had on my mind.. What parts in the engine bay carry over when going from a 2200 to an eco? the car is an 02 so i know it was kinda 1/2 and 1/2 for eco or 2200.. i'm sure something is reuseable

The lower dog bone engine mount will transfer over....also the trans mounts should to.

The bushings don't have to be pressed in. A simple bench vise is all that is needed to install the bushings into the control arms.
I know, I've done all of the work using simple hand tools and hate it when people make it out to be harder than what it really is.
Here is the complete breakdown on how to remove the old bushings and install the new bushings using simple tools and no big machinery.
My aluminum control arms go on this week with the poly bushings.
I can't wait.
Good luck with it Steve-O.
