Ok quick run down here. i have a 2000 4 speed auto cavalier for my winter car, the other day i go out and put it into reverse and i get this clunk noise, you can actulally feel it. i was like what the hell. so then i put it into drive and it does the same thing again. still not sure i take it for a quick ride. and wow when it shifts you feel a huge jerk and hear the cluck noise. so i sat in the driveway and went through the gears and yeah eveytime it goes from neutral to anyother gear you get the clunk niose. I was thinkin lower motor mount but the engine doesnt seem to have awhole lot of slop in it. but something is goin on for sure. any idea or tricks to check would be great.
is your IAT sensor plugged in?
ok well i checked the motor mounts and they are fine. greased all fittings and even pulled the cv's to check them, all good there as well. to be honest the car feels like it has a wicked shift kit in it, thats the best way to explain it. it just hits so hard goin into car, and when it shifts. only thing i can think of next is to drain the tranny and refill it, any ideas guys
all tranny plugs tightly secured and plugged in properly?
