I was wondering if anyone knew how-to put lowering coilovers on a 95 cavalier.... also what would happen to the car if i put them on stock struts just curious i am new to this cuz i just bought the car from a friend and it came with them. I would appreciate the help Thanx
well... putting any kind of lowering ANYTHING on your stock struts is a bad idea... you wont like the ride, and eventually they're going to just blow out. lowering springs arent as bad, but coilovers, espeically off brand JUNK is just a total and utter waste of time.
if you got a reputible brand like ground control you definatly got a good set of coilovers. if he skimped out and went to ebay and spent $15 you may as well use them for paper weights or go-kart springs lol
what you NEED to do is save up, buy yourself some koni yellow struts, or tociko d-spec struts... hell even kyb agx struts would be better then stock, but arent for lowering much. i mean u CAN use whatever he purchased, its up to you if you want to run the risks. personally, i know from experience... its not worth it. the ride blows.

Listen F***ers. FASTERTHANAHONDA is a joke because I WORK FOR HONDA. I'll talk @!#$ about Fords to, that doesn't mean I can beat a 12 second mustang.
i have ground control coils on my cavi on stock struts .. bouncy as hell when i hit anything. but then i also have yellows waiting under my bed haha.. and to install them onto your car is farely simple..
please get the chiltons or haynes manual, they will be your best friend.

horrible idea. with coilovers you need either konis or dspecs. putting them on anything else is a waste of money.
ok thanx but i need a how-to or picture display on how-to put coilovers on myself cuz i really don't want to pay some guy to put them on for $300... please reply i would appreciatte it thank you.
simple search does wonders

yes the pics are for lowering springs but a little common sense can go a long way. if you cant figure it out from those pics, then you have @!#$ty coilovers.

ok let me re-word it.
with coilovers to do it properly and right the first time you can only use dspecs or konis
Installing coilovers are quite a bit more involved then just normal springs. Most require you to cut the spring perch in the front and remove the rears, or atleast the ground controls do. Do a search because I know there is a write up on here somewhere, I used it.
