Does anyone know what the spring rates for the stock springs are on 3rd gen Js, especially versus lowering springs?
MadJack wrote:I know Tein lists their rates. Their H-Techs are 170lbs/in front and 100 lbs/in rear (these are supposed to be just slightly higher than stock), the S-Techs are 180 front and 110 rear. The Basics and the Super Streets use 340 front and 220 rear coil-overs.
That sounds about right. 2nd gen stock rates are right around 100lbs/in. The 3rd gen GC off-the-shelf setup is 350lbs front IIRC (I never had the rear).
im in a journey to find ground control spring rate for 3rd gen. so it looks like the front is regularly 350 lbs.
does anybody know what spring rate is for the rears? im guessing 220 lbs. like tein s.s.
and please please what DIAMETER and HEIGHT.

IIRC the stock springs are not linear, they are progressive. If this is the case the rate is not as simple as just a number. It will be a function.
