i hava a 97 chevy cavalier z24 an american modle and i was wanting to know how hard it would be to convert to a right hand drive and if this is even legal to do in the united states
one of the hardest parts would be finding all the parts. it would be legal, but a real pain in the ass if you've never driven a rhd before.

Just about everything you are gonna need.
They sell a bunch of other stuff. They also have Toyota cavs if you wanna buy one. But they are not road legal. You would have to figure out how to do that. I don't know what it takes to make them legel. Maybe change the glass out on them.
To do you you need to weld in the firewall. So take everything apart in your car and on the doner firewall and cut out the firewall's. Then weld the doner one in and put all the Toyota dash sterring column wireharness, whatever else. I have never done it but that is just what I can think of to do. You are most likely going to need a toyota cav steering rack. Unless it can flip 180 degrees lol I don't know for sure. Maybe it comes with the doner.
http://street-line.net That is who sells all this stuff.

my next question is if i needed repair would i be able to take it to a gm dealer/repair shop?
unlike a skyline where a nissan dealer will not touch the car

I don't see why not. Everything motor wise and trans wise would still be the same. Except for the sterring rack I guess.
the 2.4z is all gm correct

yes but good luck converting it. only 2 people have finished the swap and i know 2 others tried but never finished. its a ton of work
