anybody willing to share their measurements and some pics? ive searched and couldnt find much that would help me. i plan using steel, what gauge and diameter of tube should i use? its all going to be tig welded (school project). almost forgot its for a auto. id like to get it made before the end of month since thats when im finally going to get my exhaust work done and i also got to relocate my rear tie bar while im at it. thanks much

i wont since turbo tech racing sells it. you can buy theres or make your own from guessing. im not going to give away specs on something they produce.

They aren't hard to make. Took me 6 hours for fabrication, paint, and install!!

i can respect that you wont give away specs on something like this, but truthfully im not going to spend almost 100 bucks on something i could build myself for mayb 25. im jus trying to get some of the guys who've already built thier own to share. thanks so far tho

I just built it as i went. There is somewhere around 25 inches between the main support arms and i put 10 inch legs at 45* on. Then welded on some tabs and drilled some holes.

thanks bulldog that gives me an idea of how much material to buy. i would crawl under the car if it wasnt 10-30 degrees outside all the time or i had accesses to a garage near by

Looks like there is something to be said for the research and development that is put into it by TTR. I mean come on you are paying not just for the part but for the research and development that went into making it. So in other words you are paying a litle so you do not have to waste your time crawling under you car when it is cold and going at it trial and error. While I respect your ambition to do it yourself, if you want to build one yourself then don't ask about theirs.

plus arn't they powder coated with colar instrutions all bolt and a drill bit. Yeah ttr don't mess around great company.

Re: k brace measurements

i was never asking for ttr's specs but looking now ive figured out what material is used and kinda how long some of it is. i dont want to turn this into a pissin match but ive ran into things like this before some company sells a product for a some what valueable price but a person that takes the time to look at it could turn around and build it for alot cheaper...this is what im doing and ive done it for years in racing. sure it kinda kills the company from makin money but truthfully im guna make a order for other parts later on through ttr since i cant find a place with a better selection and good price.

Fixed it for you

Aaron's production piece is SO much cleaner then the ones I used to weld together out in the garage! I'd say spend the money, support a JBO company, and get yourself a Sexy TTR/TG K-brace

Thanks Brian for making that fix. Brian did do all the R&D, minus a little clean up fitment. Then we run it through our manufacturing here.

I am aware that it was a colaboration between Team GREEN and TTR. I did not mean to discredit team green in any way so I hope it was not taken that way. The only reason I mentioned ttr and not team green was because TTR is the one curently producing and selling it. In hindisight I wish I would have mentioned Team Green as it was unfair not to include them in my statement about R&D.

yea dude, doesn't look like you're gonna get much. especially because this is something you can easily measure yourself.

and save the trouble and just get the one sold by TTR. cuz next thing you'll post is yours broke and it caught on a grate and your car wrecked. then you'll blame someone else bc the measurements were wrong, etc.

first of i wouldnt blame anyone else cause if u look no one gave me any definite measurements so theres no one to blame but myself if it does catch on something, next thing it wont grab anything yet cause its not lowered and the lowest point is my tie bar which is going to probably change. just a update i purchased the material: $14.65 im putting it together right now...i'll post pics when its finished and maybe some installed ones

Good job. There sure is some pride in doing it yourself. Do yourself a favor and get rid of that factory dog bone lower engine mount. The stock mounts suck a big one.
