Well I finally got my Tein SS' on order with Gravana! They are supposed to be back in stock on Tuesday and should ship same day. I'm freaking excited!!!
pics will be posted when they get here and when they are on the sedan!
what did you pay shipped? I've been considering trying SS's. I have ground controls and yellows and I love them but pillow ball mounts and EDFC are tempting. No one around has them that I could go for a ride in though
You'll love them, I've had mine for 3 years.
My only regret is blowing my engine during my first autocross with them. They did great, the oil filter and the engine... not so good.
I still say this is the ultimate off the shelf suspension for the j-body. Decent street manners and a bandit on the course.

Jeffie took me for a ride in the Bubbamobile when i went to jersey and all i had to say afterwards was holy fuggin @!#$.
I'm going to put the prokit and AGX's on the sunfire and order me the tein's for the cavy when i finish it, the ride was that impressive. I love my current setup, but i want to go lower.
id love to get these but they are so god awfully expensive
i still don t understand what is so special about 'pillow ball mounts' what do they even do?
Rollin' on question marks since 07.
The pillow-balls are a solid design, definately great for j-bodies!

i have em....trust me....there nice..
darkstars... around 1300 and some change. if i make it to the bash, i'll take ya for a ride.
cody... same thing with me... the 96 vert we picked up will be getting the goldline/koni setup that's on the sedan now.
is that with the EDFC?
I'll be there
I'll take you up on that offer if you come
no edfc yet... hopefully before the bash though.
they are sched to be delivered on tuesday. which just happens to be the same day the new exhaust goes on...
it's gonna be like christmas!

i had them on my cav with the edfc. sadly i never finished the build and parted ways with them before i could even drive on them
I had Konis and sportlines and thought I had a great handling Cavy....
...Tein SS and now I can say without a doubt....I have a geat handling Cavy!
The difference in the corners/twisties...night and day!
I have mine with 2 degrees of negative camber....add in those solid mounts...set to 8 up front and 6 in the rear...strut tower braces, sway bars...car honestly (not just saying) drives like it's on rails!!!!!!
They are not a smooth ride....my Konis and Sportlines rode a bit nicer....but the trade off is less braking in the corners...I'll take it!!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
...oh yeah....sorry...congrats!!! You'll love them!!

so just my luck, the coilovers came yesterday and the car is still at the shop getting the new exhaust put on.
hopefully i'll get them installed tonight.
Are the pillowballs front and rear, or just front?
Caution: I have an odd sense of humor, so don't be offended by the things I say
MMMM, HIDs
front and rear.
they are very nice looking units... but i won't be able to tell you how they ride for another day or two yet... car is STILL at the shop
...SO, how is the ride? (figure youve had e-nuff time now)
-speed is time travel-
i love them! my koni yellows/goldline setup rode pretty well and handled nice but these are definetely a big step above those.
car is on RAILS. I can't wait to put some stickier tires on the car.
The Teins will be on the 'blu soon enough.
With all I've heard about them, they're a great alternative over the KW Variant 3's which don't come with pillow ball mounts or the camber plates.
I was actually looking at the KW's but the Teins have pretty much everything you could want in a track day car along with street ride.
Nice choice Spence.
Even though we've gone different paths for our Cavies, we're both on the same track for what we want with them.
Continued good luck with it.
