Like it says I threw the front coilovers on lastnight & I have some crazy camber issues. I'm using the 98 mounts & when I put them on the car they seemed to be out farther than the others set before? Now I have positive camber.. Any suggestions?
thats a common issue that arises with installing the gravanas on an 00+ cavalier. i had the same issue when i installed mine on my 02. i took it to the dealer for an alignment and they slotted the lower hole where the coilover bolts to the knuckle and straightened everything out. any competant alignment shop will be able to resolve your issue.
Cool thanks is that something I could do at home with some type of tool?
no you take it to a shop and let someone who knows what they are doing align it.
Alright, my next question then.. Is it alright to drive it that way til then? I had to drive it to work today (about 20 miles away) so if not I'll have to put my eBay specials back on..
nah its fine to drive. if you drive constantly on it though you'll wear through your tires quicker.
K cool just feels odd & squeels when you turn when your driving and cornering. That could get annoying.. But other than that I guess I'm good.
-Thanks for all the suggestions & help-
i think gravana needs to address the problem you probably have tons of positive camber, i know mine did, and i have mine upper camber plates completely negative and i still have a hair of positive camber....
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
Yeah, I have a feeling I will love the whole Coilover feeling when my tires are fully on the ground and don't attract neg attention by squeeling like crazy around curves
